did him in pencil, lil while ago, in class, and I was gonna model him for my portfolio, 'cause I thought the contrast between his wrinkly skin and the smooth metal armor would be really interesting visually, then, when preparing some 2d portfolio stuff, I thought he'd look really good if I toned him up and painted him a bit. So I started painting him up, and i got halfway through painting his armor, when I realized his silhouette bothered me, and could really be made more interesting. So in photoshop I repainted and messed around with the silhouette a bit, and came up with this guy:
whom I do kinda like better. Sure, his insecty legs need some detail, but he looks like this jumping cannon of death flea critter, and I think that's cool. I can totally imagine a tiny squad of these guys jumping about blowing tiny blasts of doom at people. Would it kill anyone? Probably not, unlike the more elephant sized guy up at the top, but I'd rather see the little dude landing on my arm then a big hulking beast coming at my door. I think. 'Cause seeing a big hulking beast dude could be pretty cool. I don't think I'd mind loosing a few azaleas to that. As long as he left my car alone. And I was still alive afterwards. Yep.
